New workshops to tackle hate crime announced

The LGBTQI Forum is organising a series of workshops to look at Hate Crime against specific groups with the LGBTQI community .

The first of these is focusing on Hate Crime against the Trans community and is on Wednesday 20th September at The Met Market St BL9 0BW from 12-2pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided

The meeting is aimed at staff from the voluntary sector, the council and the police as well as members of the LGBTQI community. The workshop will focus on Hate Crime against the Tans community and what work is being developed in Bury to combat Hate Crime .

The workshop will also provide an will an opportunity to share your own experiences of Hate Crime

At a time of increasing hatred and hostility against the Tran community we need to ensure we have effective strategies to combat and challenge this Hate Crime
